The Importance of Sanitizing Wipes

Learn more about the effectiveness of sanitizing wipes...

Sanitizing wipes make cleaning quick, easy and convenient. In fact, studies have shown that using wipes encourages non-custodial workers to do quick, on-the-spot cleaning, which has the potential to save costs.

Why use sanitizing wipes?

Wipes are made to be diluted to the proper concentration of disinfecting solution, so users don’t have to worry about storing and diluting concentrated chemicals. It’s easy to keep wipes readily available, which means they are always close at hand if there’s a spill, or the need for quick disinfecting.

Wipes are made from a specially-selected fabric that efficiently absorbs the formula and releases it when the wipe is being used. They are safe to handle, and unlike concentrated disinfectants, no special training or equipment is required to use them.

Where to use wipes:

Disinfecting wipes can safely be used on a multitude of surfaces, like sinks, counters, office equipment and any other surface that comes into contact with dirt, grease and bacteria. Here are a few other suggestions as to where to use disinfecting and sanitizing wipes:

  • High-touch areas like keyboards, light switches and phones carry a lot of bacteria. It’s important to regularly clean these areas, especially during cold and flu season, to prevent the spread of germs and infection. Sanitizing wipes make it quick and easy to regularly disinfect these bacteria hot spots.

  • Bathrooms are a great place to use sanitizing wipes, as the wipes reduce the risk of cross-contamination and are an effective alternative to traditional spray and wipe cleaning.

  • Hospitals can benefit from using disinfectant and general purpose wipes to clean and maintain areas including patient rooms, waiting rooms, elevators and railings.

  • Food establishments can use sanitizing wipes on surfaces that come into contact with food, such as prep areas and dining tables. Using sanitizing wipes prevents cross-contamination and eliminates the need to clean dirty cloths used for traditional spray and wipe cleaning.
